Simple Joy

Morning coffee...

I gave it up in July. I thought, "No, I don't need that." After 2-3 days of detox in July, my headache went away, I then I really didn't need it anymore.

I sipped my morning tea and enjoyed that. I tolerated my coffee-free existence for awhile.

Then I realized, I didn't want to give it up. Maybe in a different place in a different time, but not now. It is a small joy that doesn't need to be thrown out. I only have one cup in the morning and every time it puts a smile on my face. A smile on my morning face, a smile that NEEDS to be there!

To quote a great movie,
"There gonna hate us in the beginning, but we'll get 'em in the end. You know why? We're going to sell them cheap books and legal addictive substances. Until then put up a big sign that says Coming Soon a Fox Books Superstore and the end of civilization as you know it!" LOVE IT.
You've Got Mail-

Afternoon pick me up any one?
Don't throw away that bottom of the pot coffee from your morning brew- it is precious. Put it in the fridge and save it for that 3 o'clock, can I make it to bedtime? moment.

Then put a cup of coffee, 1/2 cup milk, sweetener of choice, cocoa powder or cinnamon to taste, a handful of ice into the blender. Then blend until frothy. A 100 calorie, $0.20 "Frap" to get make you smile. Don't forget to throw that blender into the sink and rinse right away or that smile will turn into a frown later! :)

Peter still in UB- Sharon's flight was delayed 24 hours! Sad. At least Sharon is at the Sheraton in Seoul. :) Peter called me from a nice restaurant last night, so he's fine too. The children and I are surviving fine. Sunny day today, so they are going outside soon. :)

I totally agree! I always think that I should drink some nice-n-healthy green tea...6x more antioxidants than coffee, or so they say, BUT it is just not as fun as a cup of joe!

Cheers!
