How's that for a title? I was tired of the long grass in my yard, so I gave Weston a pair of scissors, Sierra a toy dump truck we we spent some time cutting the grass. It looks better, but I felt a little crazy out there snipping away. I am surely the most strange lady on the block.

Looking forward to 4th of July. Although, that is the day that I am the most homesick. Strange huh? You'd think it'd be Christmas. But on Christmas the kids are opening presents and happy as clams and it it easy to celebrate. Thanksgiving is easy to be distracted making a nice big meal and setting a pretty table for friends. Easter there are egg hunts and baskets for the kids to eat. Maybe we just need a tradition for the 4th so it's not so ho-hum.
It is blah to do the 4th in a different country. No one else even knows you are celebrating. I think about family swimming parties and bbqs and FIREWORKS. wah... ok enough of my little pity party---- :) So light a sparkler for me.

You should come up with a new tradition on the 4th. You can plan a big party and make hats and horns with the kids and have a few people over to honor the our country. Just a thought. :)

I love the 4th for some reason too...I can totally see how it would make you homesick. Tell you what--I'm going to send you some sparklers...obviously they won't get there in time, but you can have some firework fun when they arrive. :)
Unless the post office considers shipping fireworks illegal...hmmm...

yeah, i don't know what they'll say about sparklers by mail... I know i miss abby a lot! She is so cute.
