Yesterday the electric company fixed wires all afternoon so there was no power here. I realized that it isn't really that big of a deal for me anymore. I started a fire in the wood stove put on some soup and big pots of water for baths and made bread by hand instead of breadmaker. It is so nice and quiet when there is no electricity. No buzzing from the fridge, cd player, or computer.
That being said, I LOVE electricity. Some people say, oh your life is like Little House on the Prairie---- nope!!!
I have electricity and am so thankful for it. I love having a wash machine, vacuum, DVD players, electric teapots, coffee maker, my oven, my dryer and the computer. It is amazing how much machines add to the quality of life.
So at our house when the power clicks back on we all clap and cheer!!! Weston runs to turn on a CD, I click on my computer and we all join the modern world again!

Your family is so pretty!! Three more months!
I am so proud of you, that you conquered your fear of bread making! I knew you would be a wonderful bread maker because you are a fantastic cook. I am still thinking about the delicious meals we enjoyed last year at your home. My tomato soup has never been as good! TTFN, Love, Mom
