New Land Laws

We go on a walk every day now after nap time. There are small ice milk cones here that Weston really likes so we walk to the store, get our ice cream cone and then walk around a bit. Sierra wishes that she could walk with us, instead of riding in the stroller. I tried that two days ago and she was so proud to be walking that she just spun around in circles and laughed. So I had to hold her! :)

Mongolia is changing its land law on May first. If you get your papers in order before then land is still super cheap (~$30 for as much as you have fenced in), so many people are putting up fences and claiming land. So everybody is talking about it. Supposedly after May 1 the prices will go up. I am not getting the whole conversation, because of my language skills, so that is the gist!

Weather-87 degrees one day 29 the next. Spring is crazy.

W. boy-He is playing "mean spider" today. He shoots poison at the bad spiders. But thankfully he says, "mommy, daddy, and Sierra are good spiders!"

S. girl- still not talking much. In the past two days she has seemed to say mommy, daddy, and hi. She doesn't repeat it, so I always think I am hearing things. She copies everything W. does and she really loves when he plays with her!

Mongolia- I am trying to get our "bechik" which is a paper that shows ownership of our home and land. Not going that well. It is difficult to know how to move forward since I am a "gada hune" or outside person, the rules are not the same for me. It needs to be done by May 1st, so I am sure it will come right down to the wire!

Language Study- I have been working this week to prepare for a cooking class I am co-teaching this weekend. We are making pizza and Italian style salad. I have learned the word for ice cream and dough are almost exactly the same!!!
