Thoughts

I'm studying Revelations at a Bible study. We are studying Beth Moore Here and Now.

Something that struck me this week from the study:
In chapter one Christ goes through the churches and tell them what they do that pleases Him and what they do that displeases Him.

To Ephesus He tells them he is proud of them because they have persevered and worked hard. But is disappointed in them because they have lost their first love- Himself, Jesus.

Beth pointed out that Jesus will tell us exactly what we need to change in the form of distinct conviction from the Spirit. It will be specific!

In contrast, the enemy will just give you the thought that you are not good enough, that you are scum, that you are a lowly slimebag that should just stay where you are and wallow. This land of blahs is not conviction from the Lord.

I'm letting go of the lie that God really doesn't like me because I am a loser or scum or lazy. God isn't just loving, He is love. WOW. God hates my sin, but He loves me. He loves the whole world. Imagine that grace! It made my day!
