Car wash

Did you know that you can wash your whole car inside and out with 2 liters of water, a washcloth and a bucket? That is the Mongolian way. I was a little doubtful for the first two years... I thought, "No, no. I need more water to wash it right!" People here generally don't have water or electricity to spare, so this is how most people wash their car.

Collect rag and bucket. Fill bucket with water.
First wet the cloth and wipe the inside of your car. Then you place the cloth back into the bucket, and sort of hand wash it to get all the dirt out. This time you wring out the cloth really well. Then you re-wipe the inside to remove all smuges and left over dirt. Then you sweep the seats and shake the mats. The inside is done.

Now for the outside.
Wet the cloth and wipe a small portion of the car. Then you hand wash the rag in the water and wring until no water drips out. And wipe the same area again--- repeat until the entire car has been wiped and re-wiped. Your car will be amazingly shiny and dry.

I have water and electricity to spare, but I have a dirt driveway, so I always dreaded washing the car because it makes such a muddy mess. Then I decided to wash the car in the Mongolian way. It works great! It is a great solution for me because I actually LIKE to wash the car this way. It is not such a huge, overwelming, wet job so I actually do it. Thought I would pass on the trick- in 15 minutes your car could be shiny clean.
