It's 52 degrees today and I have a spring in my step. The worst of winter is over and there is something delicious about going outside! The spring and winter will battle it out for a few more months until summer finally takes over! There's an expression in Mongolian, "Spring is like a moody woman!" Today is proof of that. Yesterday was 28 degrees with dusty frigid wind! There is a wonderful knowledge in our house that we will not see another winter for two years!!!
Highlights:
W boy- Today he said, "Today its so nice. Just a little wind, not terrible!" He loves walking to the store with me and he talks the whole time!"
S girl-She fell asleep at the lunch table today. She will wake up just enough to chew and swallow!
Language Study- Daganaa started teaching me again this week. I studied sentences with the word soon in them. It is good to be studying again!
I know I've been in Mongolia too long when- Today I saw a boy who had tied a broken cassette tape onto a scrap of wood. He was holding it up and letting it twirl behind him in the wind like a drill team ribbon dance. I smiled and thought how pretty it looked in the windy sunlight!
