September- October 2009

The fall is the best time of the year in Mongolia. It's warm, not hot. The worst of the bugs have died, the food is fresh from harvest! It is nice!
Come visit in September 2010!

The end of summer--- one of the final warm play times.

Weston designed his Jack-O-Lantern in September. Our pumpkin wasn't gonna last until Halloween. We did it early!

Sierra isn't into carving pumpkins!

Weston loves the way it turned out.

Our first snow day!

I love these pictures. Sierra is being waited on like a princess by Weston-
Unzipping

Pulling off her sleeves for her

Taking off her shoes

Going to play together! Cute huh?

What happened to Frosty the Snowman the next day!

Happy Saturday

What I see:
boy running and coloring with markers in turn.
girl washing dishes and her upper body at the kitchen sink
man singing Manhattan Transfer while he mops the kitchen floor
me folding laundry and making fun of Manhattan Transfer by adding lots of my own off key bi-bops. (Sierra joins in. She thinks I'm funny)

Happy Family- who cares if that house is constantly in tatters and ruins, right?

Have a great day!

Here are some more shots, I've posted some of them before from July-Dec there are less new shots since I blog more when I'm here!

A great thought

The children watch Pinocchio last night. Sierra's choice. She loves that movie and the music. Weston loves the wishing star. He likes to look at the stars and he started wishing on the wishing star last summer.

The movie reminded him and he went to look for the wishing star. He couldn't find it.
Then he turned to me and said, "I think Jesus is the wishing star."
I said, "Why do you think that?"
Weston said, "Because He is the only one that can make our dreams come true."

Truthful thought- faith like a child.

Today I had an emotional day. I feel like I am behind all the time, I can't catch up. I can't do it all. I can't live up to my expectations, or anyone else's.

You know what is a comfort, that Jesus, the wishing star, loves me just the way I am.

"While we were yet still sinners, Christ died for us." There is power in that!

He didn't die for perfect Becca.

He died for fat, messy, unorganized, yelling at the kids, still in her jammies Becca.
That puts a smile on my face and gratefulness in my heart.
